Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Face to face with mountain gorillas
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to nearly half the world's remaining mountain gorillas — roughly 459 individuals across 19 habituated family groups. A gorilla trekking permit here is one of the most coveted wildlife experiences on the planet. The ancient forest, blanketed in moss and cloud, is spectacular in its own right.
